Eigenbelang

Maar misschien is het motief toch geen altruïsme maar eigenbelang. Ik miet denken aan mijn overleden mentor Wim de Vrijer, die steeds verwees naar Adam Smit, en stelde dat we goed zijn voor de ander uit een weloverwogen eigenbelang. Het gaat om de balans tussen "me" en "we". Of het nu gaat om altruïsme of weloverwogen eigenbelang, maakt niet uit. Het effect is dat de mens het algemeen belang dient.
