Het is drie jaar later. Het is stil. Curacao heeft niets te vieren. Curacao is bedroeft. Er heerst gelatenheid en onzekerheid. Hier zijn wij nu beland. Teleurstelling is niet het woord. Dat zou het zijn als je andere verwachtingen had.

Via Facebook proberen we toch samen te komen op Brionplein. Hetzelfde plein als drie jaar geleden, maar nu kleeft er bloed aan de vlag. De gepensioneerden zijn arm en de kinderen hebben geen schoolboeken. Maatregelen dreigen voor de ambtenaren. Sommigen zeggen: eigenschuld.
