We Must Not Become Powerless and Discouraged

We Must Not Become Powerless and Discouraged

May 25, 2025

I started Monday full of energy and drive. After answering some emails, I picked up my wife and drove her to the car rental company because her car is in the garage.

On the way home, I stopped briefly at our beach, Caracas Bay. Suddenly, a large truck carrying enormous boulders drove in front of me. Instinctively, I thought: how strange.

After greeting the sea for a moment from inside the car, I made a U-turn to head back to my home office. To my utter astonishment and shock, the truck began dumping the boulders right in the middle of Caracas Bay, creating a division on the beach: our beach and their beach.

How can this be possible? Do they even have a permit? This should be stopped immediately.

It is not our imagination that the island is increasingly being sold off to foreign investors; there are many clear indications of this. Recently, for example, I read that most bank loans are being granted to foreigners.
