I read that August 2026 was the hottest month Curaçao has experienced in the past 30 years.

I also read that global warming has now reached a point of no return.

That Spain has received almost 60 million tourists this year. No wonder people are shouting, “No more tourists.”

In Barcelona, asphalt is being replaced with trees to mitigate the effects of climate change.

Then I read a statement saying that humanity has managed without AI for thousands of years, but that we cannot survive without clean water.

The glacier on Mount Everest is melting faster because of urine left behind by climbers.

Colombia is putting a stop to exploitation of its forests, and 42% of the country is being conserved as protected natural areas.

In England, a minister warns about the consequences of an extreme El Niño.

Then I read that America is richer than ever, yet poverty is higher than ever. And I read much more. For example, that half the population of Curaçao is dissatisfied with healthcare, and that the number of young people receiving welfare benefits in the Netherlands is increasing.

I also read that locals can no longer afford the music festival.

But I also read that there are signs of a counter-movement around the world.

And I wonder whether my feed is framing the world for me.
