It looks like unions and union leaders do to not talk to management directly any more. They go to the media and deliver their message. It is about their ego. It is part of our macho-culture. Management also responses via the media. And so we have real media battle going on. Parties get in the position that one of them might lose face. And a process to save face starts.
When unions want to fire management they go to the media. And the war starts. But in the end, it is the board who hires and fires management. In the end their are only losers. And the performance of the organization is affected negatively. When will we learn?
