Blog democratie is te traag

Op 20 april 2014 hoor ik in het tv-programma Tegenlicht: de democratie is te traag voor de crisis. In een tijd van crisis is er geen tijd voor overleg. Deze stelling wordt ook geopperd in management literatuur. Het is even slikken. De stelling klopt. Maar wie gaat het land leiden en wat is de legitimate? Hoe komen we aan een verlicht despoot? Ik moet denken aan het succes van Singapore. Aan de overdaad in de Dubai, de mislukking in Venezuela, maar in mindere mate Cuba.
